Brussels/Cologne, 22February 2023 – ISOPA/ALIPA and TÜV Rheinland, a leading provider of technical inspection and certification services, are proud to announce their cooperation on their training for the safe use of diisocyanates.
Under this cooperation, TÜV Rheinland has access to the training material developed by ISOPA/ALIPA and downstream users’ associations, which will now be offered through their platform www.mycompetence.de.
The purpose of this agreement is to leverage the brand of excellence and the broad customer base of TÜV Rheinland, and by doing so, to expand our reach to workers who need to comply with the REACH restriction on diisocyanates.
The restriction will come into force on 24 August 2023 in the European Union. After this date, all industrial and professional users of diisocyanates will need to demonstrate that they have successfully completed a training.
ISOPA/ALIPA have already launched a training platform available in multiple languages accessible at www.safeusediisocyanates.eu. By making the training materials available on myCompetence, the workforce will have an additional means of training.
“This partnership shows the tremendous efforts of the industry to comply with the new regulation,” said Jörg Palmersheim, Secretary General of ISOPA/ALIPA. “The training material was created by world-leading experts, and we are confident that thanks to our cooperation with TÜV Rheinland, we will reach a wider audience.“
Christian Hinn (TÜV Rheinland) added, “We are pleased to be working with ISOPA/ALIPA on this important initiative. Our aim is to provide excellent training and services to our customers. The content of the training is of the highest quality and we are pleased to make it available with myCompetence to our extensive network. Additionally, our German-based Corporate Training Solution platform TÜV Rheinland Unterweisungslösung (https://unterweisung.tuv.com, EN: https://corporatetraining.tuv.com) offers a comprehensive range of industry-focused digital trainings to accelerate business and employees with precisely the right competence they require.”
