Brussels, 31 October — ALIPA and ISOPA publish today a new website on the safe use of diisocyanates : www.safeusediisocyanates.eu. The new webpage aims at informing about the regulatory process on the proposed restriction on diisocyanates under REACH.
In the framework of the on-going regulatory discussions, ALIPA and ISOPA, the trade associations representing the manufacturers of the substance, decided to gather in one single portal detailed information about diisocyanates: the different applications and value chain; the longstanding voluntary initiatives of the industry as well as a summary of the current regulatory discussions.
ALIPA and ISOPA have always been strongly committed to the promotion of the safe use and handling of diisocyanates at the workplace and invite all relevant stakeholders to visit the website to stay up-to-date.
Jörg Palmersheim, Secretary General of ALIPA and ISOPA stated his satisfaction with this new communications tool: “as the REACH restriction dossier moves forward in the regulatory process we thought it would be useful t gather in one single portal all initiatives we have carried out in the past years to reach an adquate protection level for workers in the diisocyanate value chain“.
